The Wynn Las Vegas is located on the Vegas Strip on 217 acres - the former site of the Desert Inn Casino. The resort showcases a 111,000 sq.ft. casino, 2,716 hotel rooms, 74,700 square feet of retail space, over 223,000 square feet of convention space, distinctive dining experiences, a 2,087-seat showroom an exclusive on-site 18 hole championship golf course and ountry club. The resort features a One of a kind Ferrari and Maserati dealership and art gallery.
With its golden facade arching toward the sky, Wynn Las Vegas provides a unique fusion of nature and luxury in a resort fit for royalty. From the towering mountain at the front of the resort on the Las Vegas Strip to the Tom Fazio-designed 18-hole championship golf course at the back, natural beauty permeates Wynn Las Vegas.
The $100 million domed theater seats 2,080 spectators in the round. This facility was designed expressly to house Le Reve, an aquatic spectacular. At inspection, the hotel was readying itself for the East-End-cum-Broadway version of Spamalot. Customers in the 110,000-sq-ft casino can choose from more than 100 game tables, 2,000 slot machines, Lobbyand low and high stakes poker rooms, as well as legal race and sports booking operations.
Hotel
Each of the 2,700 guest rooms and suites in the elegant 50 story, bronze tower is artistically-designed with floor to ceiling windows framing views of the Las Vegas Strip, the property’s private mountain and lake, or the golf course. Even standard rooms are equipped with plush comforts such as large, elegant bathrooms, European linens and bedding, and flat screen televisions in both the living and bathroom areas.
Lake of Dreams
The Wynn Resort sports a 150 foot tall fountain that contains five different tiers. The fountain falls into a man made lake. This is named the Lake of Dreams. There is a light show that changes the color of the lake a variety of bright, rich hues.
The nightly entertainment includes the magical Lake of Dreams, the powerful and provocative ‘Le Reve’ by DRAGONE and Monty Python’s SPAMALOT. Wynn continues to set new standards with the opening of Wynn Macau in September to an explosion of breathtaking fireworks. The sleek, lavish resort showcases an 86,000-piece crystal dragon statue and a fantastical dancing fountain of water and light.
Encore at Wynn Las Vegas
Even before Wynn Las Vegas‘ opened, Wynn Resorts announced an expansion on the original Wynn Las Vegas plan. The new 20-acre development, called Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, will have a 2,000-suite hotel tower, restaurants and casino areas, swimming pools, a spa, and other facilities adjacent to the original Wynn Las Vegas. Encore at Wynn Las Vegas is projected to open in 2008, and when it comes to pass Wynn Las Vegas will boast close to 5,000 hotel rooms.
