Caesars Palace

Just as Rome wasn’t built in a day, Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip continues to reinvent itself and redefine luxury, solidifying its legacy as a world-class destination for dining, gambling, shopping, service, entertainment and nightlife. Built in 1966, the hotel-casino never falls behind the times and instead raises the bar for what visitors can expect when they travel to Las Vegas.

Caesars Palace is a luxury hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, an unincorporated township in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. Caesars Palace is owned and operated by Harrah’s Entertainment. Caesars is located on the west side of the Strip, between the Bellagio and the Mirage.

The Casino. Caesars is the never-ending casino and, in recent years, one in constant transition. Two sprawling wings used to change character from one end of the property to the other, but a gradual remodeling brought most of the casino space into alignment with the faux-ancient Roman theme of the adjacent Forum Shops mall.

Room Quality: It depends on where you go. The Augustus Tower is the newest and fanciest of the range of rooms. They have flat screen TVs all over. They are large and a bit rough on the eye because of the loud and garish decor. The Palace Tower are pretty much as nice. Both towers’ rooms are large, with fancy tubs and separate showers. But, they cost more.

Service Quality: Fair to Good. Harrah’s are generally not as swanky as the MGM properties and it’s actually a little disappointing considering the reputation this place has.

Accommodations occupy five towers, and there are too many decorating schemes to describe here. Augustus is the newest and somewhat biggest, while the Palace is the most recently upgraded. Standard rooms in the new tower are done in the sleek, unfussy neutrals that are all the rage, plus whirlpool tubs, marble and wood sinks, and little flatscreen TVs in the bathrooms. If you like elbow room, it’s worth it.
